Shwedagon located at Yangon in Myanmar, According to legend,the Shwedagon Pagoda has existed for more than 2,600 years, making it the oldest historical pagoda in Burma and the world. According to tradition, two merchant brothers, Taphussa and Bhallika, from the land of Ramanya, met the Lord Gautama Buddha during his lifetime and received eight of the Buddha's hairs in 588 BC. The brothers traveled back to their homeland in Burma and, with the help of the local ruler, King Okkalapa of Burma, found Singuttara Hill, where relics of other Buddhas preceding Gautama Buddha had been enshrined. When the king opened the golden casket in which the brothers had carried the hairs, incredible things happened.

travel tips.. don't wear short short before you enter this place.. also don't plan your trip on monday because most of the establishment are closed .

I plan my trip sa Myanmar since last year 2013. But the problem hindi pa sila open visa para sa mga pinoy.. this 2014 I received the news na may new agreement na ang Myanmar at Pinas regarding sa new visa policy..."Visa Free na tayo" .. so I plan my trip na... from Singapore I challenge my self to travel this country for only Php5.000 air ticket + Hotel + Food = PWEDE! from Changi Airport At SG you need 1 hour travel time going to Yangon Airport province of Myanmar.Along the highway going to my hotel located at downtown Yangon you can see the majestic beauty of SHWEDAGON.

Since I reach my hotel around 7:00PM I decided to visit the Shwedagon at night mas ok daw sya to visit and appreciate the golden color of this temple. Inside the temple you can see the endless figure of buddha and gold statue. While inside the temple one of the local tourist guide there ask me to come with him to see the secret of the temple. Its amazing from the top of Shwedagon you can see diamond reflecting with different colours. The tourist guide told me na only few people can see this diamond because only 3 location inside the temple can see it and keep it secret to the others... Hmmm I am lucky!

                                                  Food is my big problem in Yangon. Its hard to find normal food in this area mostly they sell indian food and hot and spicy food. Also take cake to the taxi driver mostly they cannot speak english and dont know the location of that area you want to go..magbaon ng mahabang pasenya!

From downtown Yangon. You can see nearby around the Independence Monument, Peoples Park, Sule Pagoda, Old Church, and the Market.  But mostly closed on Monday...sablay I am lucky I got there ng monday... sayang no choice street photography nalang nagawa ko and half of my day I spend only inside the hotel cause wala ng activities sa lugar.
